My church recently finished hosting Vacation Bible School, and the entire week's theme began with Psalm 139:14, "Thank You for making me so wonderfully complex." Each of us has been personally made by God . We each have something entirely unique and equally important to contribute to God's Kingdom and the world around us. Not only did God make us, but He is for us, He is always with us, He will always love us, and He made us for a reason!Creation of the King
However, there can sometimes be a difference between what we think and how we feel. I can know that I am valuable and loved, but sometimes it doesn't feel that way. When our thoughts and our emotions are misaligned, the best place to turn is to God's Word. Engulf yourself in His promises for your life and for the love that He has for you. Pray that His love and His truth will pierce your heart, and after a while, your emotions align with what you know to be true.
This is why I was excited to see that our children are learning these Bible truths now, as opposed to later in life. These are vital truths that we all need reminded of from time to time. I've outlined the five daily points from Group Publishing's Maker Fun Factory 2017 Vacation Bible School.
God Made You
"You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank You for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous- how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are Your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!" -Psalm 139:13-18
God is for You

God is Always with You
"This is my command- be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. " -Joshua 1:9
God will Always Love You
"Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens. " -Psalm 89:2
God Made You for a Reason
"For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." -Jeremiah 29:11
